China Flight Delay and Cancellation Rules

Chinese civil-aviation rules and carrier policies can require information and assistance after a delay or cancellation. The reason for the disruption and the current consolidated rule text are important; do not assume one uniform nationwide cash payment for every late flight.

First steps

Ask the operating airline for the written reason, revised itinerary, meal or lodging arrangement and a delay certificate if needed. Keep original and changed schedules, ticket details and receipts.

Before filing

Check the current CAAC rule and the airline's policy for the actual flight date. The consolidated text needs another review before we can show an exact automatic amount.
