Brazil ANAC Flight Delay and Refund Rules

Brazil's ANAC passenger rules address information, material assistance and options after a flight change, delay or cancellation. The tricky part is the timing of the 2026 amendments: check which text applied on your flight date before using a threshold.

At the airport

Ask the operating airline for the current reason, the revised departure time and available assistance. Keep written notices and receipts for necessary expenses. Compare rerouting, refund and alternative transport choices before accepting a voucher.

Before a claim

Check the ANAC rule version in force on the actual flight date, including any transitional provisions. This page does not use an older assistance timetable as a current nationwide compensation calculator.
